Redeeming The Time In Adversity

Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. (Ephesians 5:16)

With every adversity there is opportunity.  God takes one thing out of your life so you can work on something else.

History proves to us time and again that God works through adversity: John Wycliffe was saved as a student at Oxford when the black plague spread through the nation and his college campus.  John Bunyan was in prison in Bedford England for preaching the gospel without a license when he wrote Pilgrims Progress, one of the greatest pieces classic Christian literature.  George Müller started orphanages after cholera swept Bristol, England, leaving hundreds of children without parents.  The godly scientist, Isaac Newton discovered the laws of gravity when he was forced to leave Cambridge because of the black death.  He also developed principles of calculus and theories of optics during this quarantine.  He called this time “year of wonders.”  The apostle John wrote Revelation while exiled on Patmos.  The apostle Paul wrote his prison epistles (Ephesians, Philippians, Philemon, Colossians) while under Roman imprisonment.

Has God rearranged your life? You have been given an opportunity! Don’t waste it!
