What Should I Pray For?

1.) Thank God for Salvation:

Deuteronomy 16:3 “…that thou mayest remember the day when thou camest forth out of the land of Egypt all the days of thy life.”

Luke 17:15-16 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan. 

2.) Praise God (Tell Him who He is and what He does):

Psalm 100:4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

3.) Love God (Tell Him, and show Him you love Him):

Mark 12:30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

John 21:15 So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these?

4.) Ask For The Holy Spirit’s Control:

Ephesians 5:18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;

5.) Ask For Wisdom:

James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

6.) Ask For Boldness:

2Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

7.) Ask for physical healing (Asa sought not God in sickness):

2 Chronicles 16:12 …he sought not to the LORD

James 5:14-15 Is any sick among you? … And the prayer of faith shall save the sick…

8.) Pray for all in authority (Government officials):

I Timothy 2:2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

9.) Pray for all men to be saved – 7.6 Billion:

1 Timothy 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

10.) Pray for more spiritual labourers:

Matthew 9:37-38 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

11.) Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:

Psalms 122:6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.

Romans 10:1 Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.

12.) Pray for enemies:

Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

13.) Pray for God’s people:

2 Thessalonians 3:1 Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:
